Hank Spaniel (aka Mike K Smith) is a music-lover and musician living in South East Kent, UK who also indulges in making electronic music sometimes featuring noises made with his 7 string bass. His music might be described as ambient although he is keen that readers should take this to mean that the music is generally free from “beats” or “breaks” rather than associating it with some trippy, hippy stuff. He also likes making his music slightly glitchy to break up the whale noises and drones that litter that genre. Hank’s main weapon of choice in making music would be Ableton Live and he is also very keen on looping within Live using Mobius. Hank’s music can be found at ReverbNation.
Mike is a statistician and a self-confessed geek who loves all this blogging and tweeting nonsense. His Meyers-Briggs type is ENFP which means he’s not very good at proof-reading and will publish before spell checking then fix mistakes later. He thrives on new ideas and is very willing to share his ideas with anyone who will listen for even a split second. However implementing these ideas are almost always Somebody Else’s Problem.
